Technical Sales Manager

2006 - 2007 (2 years)

Manufacturing of injected and decorated plastic parts - (paints and varnishes).


  • Technical and commercial proposals with the various design and purchasing offices in the automotive field in order to develop sales.

  • Management of a customer portfolio, prospecting and negotiation of new contracts.

  • Identification of market needs and sales forecasts.

  • Choice of the adapted plastic materials and the corresponding paint and varnish coatings and provision of technical solutions.

  • Presentation of new products, processes and technological know-how to customers.

Automotive components equipment

Division Valeo Switches and Detection Systems

 

  • Development up to series of switches for different marketed vehicles with quality/cost/time requirements, including equipment manufacturing process, negotiation.

  • Commercialized vehicle project: TOYOTA/PSA B0: Use of Toyota methodology to achieve quality objectives: full testing, process diagrams, Toyota process audits.

  • Commercialized vehicle project: SMART 4x4 MITSUBISHI Colt (airbag-switch)

  • Implementation of a quality control on the process and the suppliers in order to guarantee the 0 defect.

  • Development in partnership with a supplier of a new generation of electrical contacts including quality assurance of the product and the process.

  • Development in partnership with another supplier of parts of a control system with sensitive surface activation (mechatronics). Negotiation of the partnership contract

  • Deposit of the corresponding patents.

  • Follow-up of a thesis on electrical contacts with the university. Follow-up of the research contract.

  • Elaboration of the technological development plan

Division Valeo Clutching systems - New products research center

 

  • Development of a new generation of plastic hydraulic controls to replace the old generation in cast aluminum for the Mondovi plant (Italy) - Use of ultrasonic technology to weld the parts

  • Overall responsibility of the projects in terms of Cost, Quality, Time and Planning of the project activities (2 sites, one in Italy - coordination of the activities)

  • Organization and animation of meetings (Projects, creativity, review, technical and economical evaluation, cost optimization),

  • Participation in internal design and patenting.

  • Organization of trials and tests necessary for validation and reliability

  • Simultaneous engineering design with methods and suppliers

  • Presentation of the synthesis files to the general management and to the customers, reporting of the project.

  • Qualification of the parts until the series on the new RENAULT Mégane.

Pumps and valves (hydraulic) for steering systems (safety parts)

 

  • Project manager to transfer a hydraulic pump manufacturing activity from Germany to France - Training of operators.

  • Quality management to reach the best level for European customers.

  • ISO 9001, VDA6, QS 9000 - responsibility for these audits to customers and accreditation bodies.

  • Audit and follow-up of safety parts on power steering valves.

  • Responsible for inspection and monitoring of plastic and metal injection molded parts.

  • Visit suppliers to improve quality and costs,

  • Transfer of machining activities to suppliers.

  • Qualification of prototype parts from all suppliers in Europe.

  • Setting up and accrediting new suppliers within an international sourcing team and engineering meetings.

  • Follow-up of quality issues with suppliers and ZF Schwabisch-Gmünd for part design.

  • Responsible for the introduction of new products and processes

  • Performed audits (product and process) at machining suppliers for component quality validation and safety part monitoring.

  • Animation and management of a team for the development of new products and materials (varnishes, plastics, rubbers)

  • Drafting of specifications and analysis methods in various physical and chemical fields. (Mechanical tests, vibratory tests, chromatography, etc.)

  • Qualification of materials for projectors injected in special plastics and follow-up of laboratory tests including vibrations.
